Yoga, Mindfulness & Wellbeing for Teachers
6 days
Teaching is one of the most rewarding professions, but also one of the most demanding. Daily classroom challenges, increasing workloads, and the emotional responsibility of supporting students can lead to stress, fatigue, and burnout.
Yoga, Mindfulness & Wellbeing for Teachers is an immersive Erasmus+ training course designed to help educators reconnect with themselves while discovering practical wellbeing strategies they can immediately apply in both their personal and professional lives.
Set in the peaceful coastal village of Ferragudo, in the Algarve, this course combines yoga, mindfulness, breathing techniques, meditation, outdoor learning, positive psychology, and evidence-based wellbeing practices to help teachers reduce stress, improve emotional balance, and strengthen resilience.
Participants will experience daily practical sessions that promote physical relaxation, mental clarity, emotional regulation, and greater self-awareness. Alongside these personal benefits, they will explore simple classroom-friendly mindfulness activities that foster concentration, emotional wellbeing, inclusion, and positive relationships among students.
Whether you are completely new to yoga or already have experience, this course welcomes educators of all levels. Every practice is accessible, practical and designed to fit naturally into everyday school life.
Our training follows a blended learning approach that combines guided face-to-face sessions with individual reflection and practical application. The course is structured around a 30-hour learning programme, with shared morning workshops and self-paced afternoon activities, including reflective journaling, mindfulness practice, classroom resource development, outdoor observation and personal action planning. This structure provides a rich and engaging learning experience while allowing participants to consolidate their learning and adapt it to their own educational contexts.
By the end of the week, participants will leave feeling refreshed, inspired and equipped with practical strategies to improve both their own wellbeing and the wellbeing of their students.
