XPLOR ALGARVE: eXperiential Pedagogy, Learning Outdoors & Resilience in Education

XPLOR Algarve is an immersive training course led by Daniela Luz, designed for teachers who want to apply innovative outdoor methodologies aligned with Erasmus+ priorities.
Through a combination of field-based learning, reflection and collaboration, participants will explore how to integrate sustainability, wellbeing, inclusion and project-based learning into their teaching practice.
All activities take place within a 45-minute radius from Ferragudo, using the Algarve’s most iconic coastal landscapes as learning environments.
Learning Outcomes
Participants to the course will learn to:
Implement outdoor learning strategies across different subjects
Design project-based and experiential learning activities
Promote student wellbeing through nature-based approaches
Integrate sustainability and environmental education
Apply inclusive and student-centred methodologies
Strengthen collaboration and intercultural competences
Use reflection and journaling as learning tools
Transfer methodologies into their own school context

Course participants will receive training and engage in exercises designed to develop their skills as trainers. The provision of additional materials or resources will be determined based on the course structure and the instructor’s approach to meeting the learning objectives
