S.T.R.E.S.S. FREE CLASSROOM MADEIRA is a practical training course designed to help educators manage stress, emotional overload and classroom tension through simple somatic regulation strategies and coaching-based tools.


The course focuses on how stress affects behaviour, attention and learning, and provides teachers with practical techniques to restore calm, improve emotional safety and sustain performance in demanding school environments.


It combines classroom management insights with body-based regulation practices, breathing techniques and coaching reflection tools, making it highly applicable to real school challenges.

Day 1 – Understanding Stress in Education (Indoor)

  • Social and Emotional Intelligence in teaching practice

  • What stress really is (teachers & students)

  • Stress cycles in school environments

  • Impact of overload on behaviour and learning

Day 2 – Field Trip: Stress, Behaviour & Regulation in Real Contexts (Outdoor Learning – Madeira)

  • Observing stress responses in group dynamics

  • Behaviour under pressure in real environments

  • Identifying triggers and escalation patterns

  • Reflection: translating observation into classroom strategies

Day 3 – Somatic Regulation for Teachers (Indoor)

  • Body-based regulation and nervous system awareness

  • Breathing and grounding techniques for immediate calm

  • Micro-practices between lessons

  • Reset strategies for high-stress moments

Day 4 – Emotional Safety in the Classroom (Indoor)

  • Creating predictable and safe learning environments

  • Preventing emotional escalation in students

  • Teacher presence and emotional stability

  • Building trust and consistency in classroom relationships

Day 5 – Managing Difficult Situations & De-escalation (Indoor)

  • Conflict Management strategies in education

  • Handling challenging behaviour calmly

  • Communication under pressure

  • Preventing burnout during difficult classroom moments

Day 6 – Integration, Coaching & Action Plan (Indoor + Closing Practice)

  • Designing a stress-aware classroom routine

  • Personal regulation plan for teachers

  • Case studies and role-play situations

  • Peer coaching and reflection

  • Certification and closing session

Course participants will receive training and engage in exercises designed to develop their skills as trainers. The provision of additional materials or resources will be determined based on the course structure and the instructor’s approach to meeting the learning objectives​​
